It’s Time To Rise Up

America you’re losing your freedom,

Most likely it’s already gone.

You have rejected the Lord God Jehovah

And made pagan gods your own.

America whom God has exalted,Whose children in freedom have thrived,We’ve drank from polluted fountains, And now more dead than alive.

America, your plains and your mountainsWith cattle and fruit and bread,The cankerworm now is destroying,For you have rejected your God.
You have called on the witches of Endor,Took counsel from the prophets of Baal,You’ve opened the gates of your cities,Behold now a living hell.
Oh America, Hear the cry of the innocentWhose blood testifies of your sin.
Oh God, have mercy upon us.Oh Jesus come to us again.
Oh Dear God, would the tears of repentance Dampen your altars again.Your people have lost true conviction,There’s no real awareness of sin.
False prophets, false shepherds, false teachersSpeak (good times) for silver and gold,
And true prophets of God who would warn themAre scorned as prophets of old.

Oh God, it’s a sad but true story,Is there time enough left to be told?You promised you would gather a remnantAnd bring them home safe in the fold.

And now at the eve of destructionThere’s only one place that we can hide:Run back to the Rock of Ages,Our Savior, our Lord, and our God.

Benjamin Franklin

One of America’s Founding Father

(January 17, 1706 – April 17, 1790)

“A founding father who knew the value of prayer”

Most people might not give a runaway with only two years of formal education much chance of succeeding in life, but it was the start of life for Benjamin Franklin. One of seventeen children, Ben was largely self-educated, and after running away from an apprenticeship in the printing business, he worked in England and then moved to Philadelphia, where he founded his own printing business and newspaper.

He often wrote under pseudonyms, including a character named “Silence Do good” in Boston.

 “Poor Richard” was Ben’s voice for expressing his thoughts on freedom, justice, and public sprit.

Poor Richard’s Almanack, which Ben not only wrote but also published, became most widely read book after the Bible in the American colonies.

Franklin was a prolific writer, inventor, and student.

Among his inventions were a stove that emitted more heat than a conventional fireplace, the lightning rod, bifocals, the gliding rocking chair, and a musical instrument he called the “armonica.” Franklin never patented his inventions he intended them for every one’s use.

Franklin was equally known as a leader and public-service innovator.

He helped establish the first public library in North America, a police force, a volunteer fire department, a hospital, the first garbage collection service, and an academy that became the University of Pennsylvania.

 

He retired from his printing business at age forty-two to pursue his “hobbies.”

 During this time, he learned French, Spanish, Italian, German, and Latin; continued to invent; became interested in electricity; and worked for the colonial government. He was sent by the colonies to England in 1757 in an attempt to convince England to uphold colonial rights. When he finally realized that England would not listen to colonial complaints, he returned home in 1775 to help draft the Declaration of Independence.

At the end of the Revolution, he helped negotiate peace with England and became the first United States ambassador to France.

In the 1780s, he was called upon to help draft the U.S Constitution.

And it was in 1787 at the Constitutional Convention that Ben took one of his most courageous stands.

The Convention was on the verge of failure over the issue of whether small states should have the same representation as large states. The deadlock seemed hopeless. At age eighty-one, Franklin rose with a suggestion.

He was convinced that the Bible is right in saying ,

“Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labour in vain” (Psalm 127:1), and he said:

“Gentlemen, I have lived a long time and am convinced that God governs in the affairs of men. If a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? I move that prayer imploring the assistance of Heaven be held every morning before we proceed to business.”

The motion carried. And from then on prayer was offered each morning until a compromise was reached.

World changers know they are not the source of their own greatness.

“Your will call upon me and go and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

And you will seek me and find me, when you search for me with all your heart”

Stability: Peace

God said, "Let there be light"
in the midst of all darkness , God says let there be light.... there is no such thing such as darkness instead darkness is absence of light. its terrible.. imagine a day without light!

similarly, there is no thing called instability , it is the absence of stability or the loss of stability...

when sea was roaring and boat in which Jesus and his disciples were traveling was in turmoil, Jesus rebuked the sea and the wind and said "peace be still".

instability is indication of the loss of stability. In fact nature tries to maintain the stability, but due to delay of the counter acting elements the we get some kind of oscillatory stability.


' A Picture of Peace '

There once was a King who offered a prize to the artist
who would paint the best picture of peace.
Many artists tried.
The King looked at all the pictures, but there were only two he really liked
and he had to choose between them.

One picture was of a calm lake.
The lake was a perfect mirror, for
peaceful towering mountains were all around it.
Overhead was a blue sky with fluffy white clouds.
All who saw this picture thought that it was a perfect picture of peace.

The other picture had mountains too. But these were rugged and bare.
Above was an angry sky from which rain fell and in which lightening played.
Down the side of the mountain tumbled a foaming waterfall.
This did not look peaceful at all.
But when the King looked,
he saw behind the waterfall a tiny bush growing in a crack in the rock.
In the bush a mother bird had built her nest.
There, in the midst of the rush of angry water,
sat the mother bird on her nest...

Perfect peace.

Which picture do you think won the prize?

The King chose the second picture. Do you know why?

"peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise,
trouble, or hard work.
Peace means to be in the midst of all those things
and still be calm in your heart.
That is the real meaning of peace."

and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,
will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus

Peace be with you this and every day

Such is the perfect peace that Jesus gives,
the winds of the earth cannot disturb it
roaring of the seas cannot shake it.
for the Almighty protects to those who fear Him.

"The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them" Psalms34:7

Faith

Faith is not the stuff dreams are made of ; rather it is tough, practical and altogether realistic. Faith sees the invisible but does not see the non-existence way. Corrie ten Boom described faith this way, 'It is like a radar that pierces through the fog, the reality of things at a distance that human eye cannot see."
